Schemenauer, Caroline (Marriage - 1 Dec. 1934)
St. John’s Catholic church, Wuertzburg, Wis., was the scene of a pretty wedding at nine o’clock Saturday morning, Dec. 1st, when Miss Caroline Schemenauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Schemenauer of Athens, became the bride of Rudolph Schillinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Schillinger of Edgar, Wis. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Urban Baer.
The bride wore a floor length white satin gown with a long tulle veil arranged in cap effect trimmed with orange blossoms and seed pearls which fell in a long train. She carried white and yellow chrysanthemums, rose buds and baby breaths.
Mrs. Clarence Miller, sister of the groom, attended as maid of honor and wore a maize taffeta gown with hat to match and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses, chrysanthemums and pompoms. Mr. Clarence Miller attended as best man. Mrs. John Kremsiter, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid and wore a pale blue crepe gown with hat to match and shoulder bouquet of hyacinths and orchids. Mr. Kremsiter attended as bridesgroom.
A reception, dinner and supper followed at the home of the bride’s parents, covers being laid for sixty. A yellow, white and blue color scheme decorated the home. The bridal table was decorated with cut flowers and candles. The afternoon and evening was spent in dancing.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Schillinger left for a short wedding trip to Chippewa Falls, Manitowoc and Milwaukee, and, on their return, will reside with the groom’s parents.
